A woolshed ball is held in both May and October. Colonial dress is encouraged and traditional dances, generally based on a theme or historical programme from earlier years, form the programme. Venues are usually a major heritage hall closer to the city.

Coral Eden has provided an article about the October 2011 Woolshed Ball

The next woolshed ball will be on Saturday 26th May 2012 at the St David’s Uniting Church Hal,
Cnr Mont Albert Rd & Burke Rd, Canterbury, featuring The Billabong Band
All welcome for an evening of great fun.
